WHY HORSES
Horses are naturally prey animals. This means they are always on the lookout for danger. Many of our clients can relate to this behavior and can learn coping skills for trauma, stress, and fear.
Horses have shown to benefit people with mental health concerns, developmental disabilities, physical challenges, and life stressors.
Horses are herd animals and interact within relationships. We can learn from their interactions with people, other horses, and build relationships that mimic human relationships.
Horses are very in tune with our emotions. Sometimes we as people try to hide our emotions. Horses have a way of knowing what we are feeling even before we do.
MEET OUR TEAM

Hi! I'm "Stitch"! I am a miniature horse that is new to the program. I come from a situation where I was not given appropriate food or vet care. Luckily, I found my way to the therapy program and on my way to being healthy again! Follow along on our website or social media to watch my transformation.

Hi! I'm "Willow"! I came from an auction house that sends horses to slaughter. I am happy to have been rescued and am getting healthier and happier every day! I love kids, treats, and being pet and groomed.

Hey there- I'm "Scout". I am the orneriest of the crew. I am a pony with a lot of personality. I came from a local rescue center and am finding my way on how to be a therapy horse. I get a little nervous around new people and need patience and kindness so I can blossom into my full potential!
